Are the station boundaries exact?
No. Hotels’ own labels and booking-site district lists differ for at least Henann Crystal Sands and La Carmela de Boracay34. Check the distance to D’Mall instead.
Is a hotel on the beach or one road back?
Read the hotel’s own wording. Villa Sunset Boracay‘s own site carries a guest comment that it is not beachfront and a 2 to 3 minute walk by pathway14.
How do I check a Boracay hotel's DOT accreditation?
The DOT website tags some items “DOT Accredited”13, but no working standalone list of Boracay accommodation was found as of October 2026. Ask the hotel for its certificate number.

Boracay is small enough that the choice of area comes down to a handful of measurable things: where the restaurants are, how far the hotel is from D’Mall, and how far it is from the jetty port you arrive at. White Beach and its three stations
Rough Guides, in a page updated on 26 May 2025, describes White Beach as running about 4 km along the west coast and split into three stations1. It calls Station 1 the most spacious with the higher-end resorts, Station 2 the place where most of the action is (restaurants, bars and D’Mall), and Station 3 quieter, with more budget places and a slower pace1. OpenStreetMap maps the beach as one sand polygon whose bounding box has a diagonal of about 4.2 km, which is consistent with the guide’s figure2.
OpenStreetMap also marks a boat station for each of the three. Measured in a straight line from those points, as the site calculated on 3 October 20262:

Roads and the beach path are longer than a straight line. Which of the two jetty ports takes boats at a given time of year is on Cagban, Tambisaan and Tabon: which port in which season.
Where the station labels disagree
Sources disagree Station boundaries are blurry. Henann Crystal Sands says “Station 1” on its own site3, yet booking-site district lists file it under Station 2. La Carmela de Boracay says Station 2 on its own site4, but its booking-site address is Manoc-Manoc and it appears in the Station 3 list. Group hotels by their distance from D’Mall and the port, and treat the station label as approximate.

Sand width is not given by any source used here, so this page makes no claim about which station has the widest beach. Noise levels are likewise unsourced: the guide places the bars and restaurants at Station 2, but no source measures noise at any station or hotel.

The pattern in the numbers is simple. Every hotel the tables place at Bulabog is within 0.7 km of D’Mall in a straight line, closer than any Station 3 hotel in the tables. The hotels at Diniwid, Yapak, Punta Bunga and Newcoast are all more than 2 km from D’Mall.

The table gives one hotel from each area where the tables carry a statement from the hotel’s own site. “Beachfront” follows the hotel’s own site where it says so, and otherwise the beachfront tag on its booking listing. It describes the hotel’s position, not its quality.

Checking that a hotel is accredited
The Department of Tourism’s website tags some items with a “DOT Accredited” badge, and on its Aklan page the Boracay items so tagged include Aloha Boracay Hotel and a Discovery Boracay direct-booking promotion13. As of October 2026 the site found no working official list of accredited Boracay accommodation on the DOT website. Ask the hotel for its DOT accreditation certificate number, and do not rely on a booking site’s wording about accreditation.
