Frequently Asked Questions

What is Station 3 like compared with Stations 1 and 2?

Rough Guides calls Station 3 quieter, with more budget places and a slower pace, while Station 1 is the most spacious and Station 2 has most of the action1.

How far is Station 3 from the jetty port?

1.8 km straight-line from the Cagban jetty port and 1.9 km from Tambisaan, the shortest of the three stations2. Road distance is longer.

How far is Station 3 from D'Mall?

1.29 km in a straight line from the boat-station point. The hotels in the table above are 0.79 to 1.44 km away2.

Is Station 3 the same as Manoc-Manoc?

Not exactly. Booking sites list a Manoc-Manoc district separately, and hotels carry different labels on their own sites and on booking sites3. Use distance rather than the label.

Do Station 3 hotels have a dive center?

DiveGurus Boracay Beach Resort describes a beachfront dive center on its own site6. The sources used here do not confirm an on-site dive shop at the other hotels with “dive” in their names.

How do I check a hotel's Department of Tourism accreditation?

The DOT website tags some items “DOT Accredited”, including Aloha Boracay Hotel on its Aklan page7, but no working standalone list of accredited Boracay accommodation was found as of October 2026. Ask the hotel for its certificate number.

The detail

Station 3 is the last of the three stations on White Beach, and the one nearest the Cagban jetty port. The others are in Station 1 and Station 2 and D’Mall, and Boracay Areas Compared sets all three side by side. This page gives the distances and eight hotels with only what each hotel’s own site states.

Wanting D’Mall close by The boat-station point is 1.29 km away in a straight line, the farthest of the three stations2

Where Station 3 is, and how far from what

Rough Guides describes White Beach as about 4 km long and split into three stations, and calls Station 3 quieter, with more budget places and a slower pace1. The OpenStreetMap boat-station point for Station 3 sits south of the other two2.

From the Station 3 boat-station point Straight-line distance
D’Mall 1.29 km

These are the site’s calculations from OpenStreetMap coordinates, queried on 3 October 20262. Walking and road distances are longer. The hotels placed at Station 3 are 1.8 to 2.0 km from Cagban in a straight line, the nearest White Beach hotels to that port2. Which port takes boats in which season is on Cagban, Tambisaan and Tabon.

Hotels at Station 3

The site earns a commission on some hotel links, which does not affect what is listed. The table lists hotels the site places at Station 3, using each hotel’s own site for what it states where one was found. “Beachfront” follows the hotel’s own site where it says so, and otherwise the beachfront tag on its booking listing. The last column is the site’s straight-line distance from the hotel’s mapped position to D’Mall.

Hotel Beachfront What its own site states To D’Mall
Villa Caemilla Beach Boutique Hotel Yes Station 3; claims a 2024 World Luxury Hotel Awards win4 1.31 km
Astoria Current Yes Station 3; listed on the same group site as Astoria Boracay, a Station 1 resort5 1.05 km
DiveGurus Boracay Beach Resort Yes Station 3; describes a beachfront dive center6 1.09 km
Casitas de Boracay Yes8 No statement used here 1.29 km
Paradise Garden Hotel (Aston) Yes9 No statement used here 1.04 km
Calypso Beach and Dive Resort Yes10 No statement used here 0.89 km
Aloha Boracay Hotel No11 No own-site statement used here; the Department of Tourism’s Aklan page tags Aloha Boracay Hotel “DOT Accredited”7 0.79 km
Ocean Breeze Inn No12 No statement used here 1.44 km

Hotels with “dive” in their names are not stated to have an on-site dive shop unless the hotel’s own site says so; of the two in this table, only DiveGurus does in the sources used here6.

Sources disagree La Carmela de Boracay is not in the table because its own site says Station 23, yet its booking-site address is Manoc-Manoc and a booking site’s Station 3 list includes it. Station labels do not follow one rule. The distance to D’Mall and to the port is the more dependable measure.

Manoc-Manoc and the southern end

Booking sites use a separate Manoc-Manoc district alongside Station 3, so a search under one label can miss hotels listed under the other. The straight-line figures above come from each hotel’s mapped position, not from the label, which makes them a way to compare hotels from either list.

Rough Guides’ description is a general one and no source used here measures noise or sand width at Station 3. The guide’s wording points to people who want a slower pace or a lower budget, but it recommends no hotel and no type of traveler1.
