In brief
February is the driest row in the PAGASA Roxas City gauge normals, at 49.3 mm, and 59 mm in a NASA model for the island’s coordinates. It is still in PAGASA’s cool dry season, which runs from December to February.

Is February a good month to visit Boracay?
It is the driest month in the PAGASA Roxas City normals, at 49.3 mm, and 59 mm in the island model, both inside the cool dry season145. Arrivals in February 2025 were 174,9668.
How much does it rain in Boracay in February?
The normal is 49.3 mm at the Roxas City gauge, about 100 km away, and 59 mm in the NASA model for the island45. No source used here counts rainy days.
How warm is the sea in February?
The model mean is 26.8 C, the lowest monthly mean of the year, with hourly values from 25.5 to 28.0 C6. These are model values, not measurements.
Is February windy in Boracay?
February is within the Amihan season, with a northeast wind that the modelling abstract says affects Bulabog more than White Beach23.

The detail
February sits in the middle of the dry season, and its figures are the lowest rainfall row in the Roxas City column of the month-by-month table. This page gives that row beside January and March, then the sea and wind, dated events and arrivals.
Weather in February
There is no PAGASA station on Boracay4. Roxas City in Capiz is the nearest station on PAGASA’s normals list, at 11.60 N, 122.75 E, roughly 100 km east of the island and on a different coast49. The NASA POWER figures are a reanalysis model for the island’s own coordinates (11.97 N, 121.92 E) and are not measurements5.

Sources disagree The gauge and the model do not agree on which month is driest. The Roxas City gauge has February lowest at 49.3 mm and rises to 63.7 mm in March, while the NASA model has March lowest at 52 mm, down from 59 mm in February45. Both put February at 49 to 59 mm, so plan around that range.
PAGASA does not state the base period of its normals or label the units; the figures are read here as millimetres of rain per month4. The NASA monthly rain is its daily average multiplied by the days in the month5.
February’s mean maximum is 28.8 C, the lowest of the three months shown, and the model’s mean minimum is 0.8 C higher than January’s. Nationally, PAGASA places February at the end of its cool dry season (December to February) and March at the start of the hot dry season1.
Sea and wind
PAGASA declared the northeast monsoon, the Amihan, on 27 October 2025, expecting cool, dry air and also “rough sea conditions and shear lines” in the season2. The southwest monsoon is the Habagat. The sources used here give no end date for Amihan, so February is placed in it only by following that declaration.
A University of the Philippines modelling abstract (15 November 2024) finds that White Beach faces the southwesterly wind and Bulabog the northeasterly. In northeast conditions the wind and wave setup is higher at Bulabog and lower at White Beach3. The sea-surface mean of 26.8 C is the lowest monthly value in the model, with hourly values from 25.5 to 28.0 C6. No measured series is published in the sources used here.
On boats, a February 2025 fee report ties an extra charge at Tabon port to the southwest-monsoon season, which is the Habagat and not the season of this page10. Which port is used in which season has the detail, and typhoons and cancelled boats covers storm days.
What is on
The one February date in the sources is a holiday, not a Boracay event. Proclamation No. 1427 makes Saturday 6 February 2027 an additional special non-working day for Chinese New Year, as reported on 11 September 20267. That is the Philippine holiday date; the sources used here do not give the mainland Chinese holiday dates or any Chinese New Year programme on the island.
Crowds
The Malay tourism office’s count for February 2025 was 174,966 tourists, of whom 125,554 were domestic and 46,006 foreign8. After that count, the local government said it was braced for March and April 2025 to be the peak season8. For comparison, January 2023 was the busiest month in the office’s earlier figures, at 177,86011. Those are two different years, so they do not show whether February is quieter than January.
What to book ahead
No source used here gives a lead time for February stays. The dated item is the 6 February 2027 holiday, which falls on a Saturday. For the whole year’s dated peaks see Boracay peak dates for 2026 and 2027; for the way in see Getting to Boracay.
