In brief
Boracay iPass is the Aklan provincial government’s online pass for the terminal fee, environmental fee, boat fare and land transport, launched on 30 September 2024. LezzGo (kiosks and online, presented August 2025) and eBoracay (the Malay town portal, started at Tabon in 2024) do the same job through other operators, and no official page says which is mandatory.
- iPass: prepay online, get a QR code valid to 31 December of your arrival year; no refunds, transferable until scanned1.
- LezzGo: one transaction for all three charges; PHP 35 convenience fee per trip from 1 September 202589.
- eBoracay: built first for Tabon port under Executive Order No. 32; PHP 30 convenience fee reported in 202557.
- Manual windows: for decades visitors paid three fees in three separate lines8.
- Convenience fees on iPass conflict between sources: PHP 85 on one resort’s page, none on card payments at launch114.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Boracay iPass?
The Aklan provincial government’s online site for paying the terminal fee, environmental fee, boat transport and land transport, issuing a QR code for the port gates1.
Is iPass the same as LezzGo?
No. They are separate systems with different operators: iPass is provincial with PisoPay13, LezzGo is a public-private ticketing system with kiosks8.
Can I get a refund if my plans change?
Not on iPass: refunds are not available, but a booking can be transferred until the QR code has been scanned1.
How long is the iPass QR code valid?
Until 31 December of the arrival year you declared1.
Do children need to pay?
Children aged 5 and below are exempt on iPass with proof1. The environmental fee ordinance was reported to exempt children below 12; see the fees page.
Is there a mobile app?
LezzGo promised an app for “sometime in 2026”8; eBoracay’s app was not yet on iOS in August 20245. Neither is confirmed as available in the sources used here.
The detail
Four ways of paying the port charges coexist at the time of the latest reports: the manual windows at Caticlan, eBoracay from the town of Malay, iPass from the province, and LezzGo from a private operator working with both governments. This page sets them side by side. For the amounts see Boracay fees; for what you are asked for at the gate see Boracay entry requirements; for the whole journey see Getting to Boracay.
The short answer
| If you are… | Do this |

| Arriving at Caticlan and want to prepay | Register on iPass; the QR code is valid until 31 December of the arrival year1 |
| At the port without a prepaid code | Use a LezzGo kiosk, which scans your ID and takes the three charges together8 |
| Crossing through Tabon port | eBoracay was built first for Tabon; LezzGo service there was “partial” in August 2025569 |
| Registering a group | iPass supports batch registration1 |
| Arriving by cruise ship or chartered flight | iPass says this registration is “currently unavailable”1 |

Boracay iPass
The Boracay Tourist Pass was launched on 30 September 2024 by Governor Jose Enrique Miraflores with PisoPay’s president, as the Tribune reported3. BusinessMirror described it in December 2024 as one online payment with a QR code, a six-digit email one-time password and a 7-Eleven cash option4.
The official site lists four services: Port Terminal Fee (Provincial Government of Aklan), Environmental Fee (Municipality of Malay), Boat Transport and Land Transport1. Bookings are not refundable but are transferable as long as the QR code has not been scanned; the code is valid until 31 December of the declared arrival year; children aged 5 and below are exempt with proof1. Support is at [email protected] and +(02) 8242 81531.
The province’s guide gives the route: aklan.gov.ph, Online Payment, Terminal Pass, then boracayipass.ph; one-time password; choose services; guest details; review; pay with a reference number within 24 hours through PisoPay channels; download the QR code and e-receipt2. The terminal pass is described as covering “the Caticlan and Cagban Passenger Terminals”, with QR codes for turnstile entry13.
LezzGo Boracay
LezzGo is the Unified Automated Ticketing System, presented on 5 August 2025 at the Caticlan jetty port as a PHP 150 million, 10-year public-private partnership8. It collects terminal fee, environmental fee and boat fare in one transaction, scans IDs at kiosks or takes prepayment online, and registers passengers on the Coast Guard manifest. The QR code is shown at the ticketing counter and scanned at a validation area. Its backers put processing at about 10-15 minutes instead of 30-45, and a mobile app was promised for “sometime in 2026”8.
Newsbytes reported a PHP 35 convenience fee per trip from 1 September 2025, a PHP 15 online booking fee waived until 1 January 2026, and “partial” service at Tabon and Tambisaan9. This site found no official LezzGo web address and does not print one.
eBoracay
In August 2024 Mayor Frolibar Bautista’s Executive Order No. 32 required tourists using Tabon port to pay the environmental and terminal fees through a Boracay app or eBoracay; a similar order for Caticlan was only planned, and the app was not yet on iOS5. GCash announced on 10 September 2024 cashless payment of terminal, environmental and boat fees “starting with Tabon Port” through the portal guest.eboracay.net, run by Surepay Technologies Inc.6. A PHP 30 convenience fee was reported in February 20257.
The manual windows
Esquire wrote in August 2025 that for decades visitors had lined up “three separate times to pay three separate fees: terminal fee, boat fare, and environmental fee”8. In January 2025 Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco said: “You have to line up five times”10. No official page used here says the windows have closed.
Sources disagree Shangri-La Boracay‘s directions page quotes a PHP 85 convenience fee for iPass, citing an Executive Order No. 45 of 202511. At the launch, a business group’s chairman praised the absence of convenience fees on card payments4, and the iPass site states no amount1. The order’s text and issuing authority are not published online. Treat PHP 85 as one resort’s figure and check the total before paying.
Which one is required?
What you may have heard That iPass, or LezzGo, is now mandatory. Hotel pages lean that way: The Lind says the fees are “collected separately via Boracay iPass”12, and Shangri-La describes cashless payment at the Caticlan and Tabon jetty ports through iPass under Executive Order No. 4511. But no official page says any one system is the only route, and none says the manual windows are closed. Register in advance if your hotel tells you to, and carry the QR code and receipt.
Prepaying removes the queues described above; the sources do not say it is cheaper once a convenience fee applies. For where each system is used, see which port is used in which season.
